The coconut palm is translated in Sanskrit as "the tree that caters to all the needs of life." The oldest traces indicate the existence of plants with coconuts before the 15 million years ago. The coconut palm is found in Asia and South America.
The edible parts of coconut is eaten raw. Grated into chips, is mainly used in confectionery. Coconut is also used for the production of cosmetics, oil and coconut milk.
